Kellerwaldsteig

• Length: 168 km

A hiking tour based on the motto "let your soul really unwind". This hiking trail has been awarded the quality trail Wanderbares Deutschland and promises a varied hike amidst the unique beauty of the Kellerwald-Edersee nature and national park.

 


BAD WILDUNGER HIGHLIGHT HIKE

• Length: 18 km

• Ascent: 522 m

• Descent: 518 m

• Difficulty: medium

 

Nature and history lovers will get their money's worth during this hike.

Explore the highlights in and around Bad Wildungen on this hike. The hike leads along the 2006 State Garden Show grounds to Friedrichstein Castle. Relax in the castle café with a beautiful view of the old town or enjoy the view from the terrace. On the way you walk past the Schwedenschanze, a rampart as a remnant of the Thirty Years' War. The hike takes you further over the Billstein cliffs with the beautiful view of the Wildetal, to a former falcon position from the Second World War on the map.

Linger at the various sights and strengthen yourself at the numerous healing springs that you pass during your hike.

 

 

R1 circular route - Reinhardshausen

• Duration: 2 hours

• Ascent: 130 m

• Descent: 130 m

• Difficulty: easy

 

Explore the district in and around Reinhardshausen on this popular hiking trail.

The regional hiking trail R1 leads from Reinhardshausen over the Hahnberg and can be shortened halfway at the height of the refuge if desired.
