The modern hotel with 73 spacious and stylishly furnished junior and comfort rooms offers a high level of LIVING COMFORT and leaves no desires unfulfilled. There is a special feel-good atmosphere here with warm and bright colours that exude COSINESS and have a very inviting effect.
You can enjoy the warm-hearted Thuringian hospitality at the elegant restaurant “Fräulein Sophie”. Here, guests can try out a very wide range of dishes and, of course, the good cuisine of Thuringia. The cosy hotel bar is a popular meeting point for a small drink, in the evening and at other times. Additionally, the cosy FIREPLACE LOUNGE invites you to spend some enjoyable time there.

History
Göbel's Sophien Hotel in Eisenach is one of the first hotels in the family-run Göbel Hotel Group. In 1993, the residential and commercial building “Sophieneck” was built by Gert Göbel and opened a year later, in December 1994, as a hotel garni with 56 rooms. At the same time, the Sophien Residences, the cozy apartments in the Sophien Hotel, were also built.
Over the years, small changes and extensions have been made time and again. Due to the increasing demand for conference and event facilities, the Göbel family built a conference center with two additional conference rooms in 2000. Two years later, the “Sheherazade” wellness center opened, which was expanded again seven years later to 300 square meters and was available to guests as an attractive beauty & wellness lounge for a wellness break and time to pamper themselves until 2018. Today, the hotel no longer offers wellness treatments, but guests can still relax in the cozy sauna and fitness area.
Over the years, Göbel's Sophien Hotel has continuously invested in the expansion and renovation of the hotel rooms in order to continue to delight its guests. In 2009, the reception, restaurant, kitchen and bar were moved from the second floor to the first floor and completely redesigned. This was made possible by the release of business premises. A further function room was added. Since 2011, the construction of a new parking lot with now 25 parking spaces and in 2014 the new construction of the cozy fireplace lounge make the offer of Göbel's Sophien Hotel even more attractive.
