Public transport tip:
Take the regional train to ‘Rotenburg an der Fulda’ station - from there, take bus 303 to the ‘Rodenberg’ stop, which is just a few minutes' walk from the suspension bridge.
By car:
Directions: Take Kasseler Straße onto Heinz-Meise-Straße until you reach the Kottenbach car park.
Parking: There are plenty of parking spaces available directly at the Kottenbach car park. From here it is only a few minutes' walk to the bridge.
How do I get to the Highwalk suspension bridge?
From the Kottenbach parking lot:
Your path to adventure begins at the Kottenbach parking lot . From here, a well-maintained forest path leads you to the Teufelsberg in about 20 minutes on foot - the perfect start to the experience!
How it works:
Tickets: At the entrance to the HIGHWALK on the Teufelsberg, take your tickets from the ticket machine (please note: payment by card only, no cash possible).
Set off on the Highwalk: From here you enter the suspension bridge and enjoy the fantastic view over Rotenburg and the Fulda valley.
Arrive at the Rodenberg Alm: After 617 impressive meters, you will reach the other end of the bridge - directly at the cosy Rodenberg Alm, where you can refresh and relax.
Important note: For safety reasons, it is not permitted to take the following items or animals with you: baby carriages, wheelchairs, bicycles, dogs

At the ticket machines at each bridge entrance - at the Rodenberg Alm & on the “Teufelsberg” opposite: Only cashless payment possible.

The Highwalk Rotenburg not only offers you excitement and adventure, but also a unique opportunity to experience the surrounding nature in all its splendor. After crossing the bridge, you will reach Teufelsberg, from where you can cross the bridge back towards Rodenberg Alm - without having to buy a new ticket. Alternatively, there are beautiful hiking trails from the Teufelsberg to the Kottenbach parking lot. The Teufelsberg and the surrounding forests are a paradise for hikers. The well-maintained R6 and R7 hiking trails are ideal for long walks and discoveries. Thanks to new signposting, orientation is child's play.
