The Rothaarsteig is a fascinating hiking trail that runs through the picturesque landscape of the Rothaar Mountains in Germany. With a total length of about 154 kilometres, the Rothaarsteig offers both experienced hikers and nature lovers a unique opportunity to discover the beauty of the region. With its breathtaking views, idyllic forests and charming villages, the Rothaarsteig is a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. It leads hikers through a varied landscape characterised by dense forests, rolling hills, idyllic valleys and clear rivers. The route is divided into several stages, each between 10 and 25 kilometres long and with varying degrees of difficulty. Hikers have the option of adapting the route according to their own preferences and planning the stages individually.

The Kahle Asten, located in the picturesque Winterberg region of Germany, is a true gem for hiking enthusiasts and nature lovers. The Bruchhauser Steine Rundweg is an approximately 7-kilometre circular walk that leads directly to the rock formations. The trail begins in Bruchhausen and leads through picturesque forests and along small streams. The circular trail also offers beautiful nature experiences and is suitable for the whole family.

Adventure golf
Adventure golf is all about skill and ability - who has the steadiest hand and the best sense of proportion? On the 18-hole course with artificial turf, you can not only enjoy a great view while playing, the varied course also provides plenty of fun and excitement.
The Winterberg ski jump is a well-known ski jump located in the Herrloh ski area and is used for ski jumping in both summer and winter.
The ski jump was built in 1959 and has undergone several renovations and expansions since then. The Winterberg Ski Jump is an important venue for national and international ski jumping competitions. It offers training opportunities for athletes and also attracts many spectators who come to watch the spectacular jumps.
In addition to ski jumping, the area around the ski jump is also used for other winter sports such as cross-country skiing and snowboarding. In summer, events and leisure activities are often organised here.
The terrace of the Panorama Restaurant located at the ski jump offers a wonderful view over the low mountain range world around Winterberg.

The Bikepark Winterberg offers a wide range of trails tailored to different riding styles. From flowing and smooth trails for beginners to technically challenging downhill trails for experienced riders, there is something for everyone. Whether you are looking for the thrill of jumps and drops or just want to enjoy the beautiful nature and fast speed, the Bikepark Winterberg has the perfect trail for every rider.
The Bikepark Winterberg has a variety of exciting routes and trails that are suitable for different levels of difficulty and riding styles. A total of 16 tracks with a length of around 18 km await you. Here are some of the most popular routes:
Practice course & pump track
If you just want to try out the MTB sport in the bike park, you'll get your money's worth here: the practice course can be used free of charge with your own bike and helmet. This means you can hop on your bike, relax, do a few laps and gain your first experience. What are you waiting for?
Flow Country, Snow White & Fairy Trail for all beginners
Families and beginners in particular will get their money's worth here: the easy, flowing tracks in the Bikepark Winterberg offer pure riding fun for all beginners. There are many downhill berms and the first small jumps are also possible - but don't worry, these can also be easily rolled off.
Even more action on the Freeride & Loose Lee
Here you should already have some experience in the bike park. The berms get bigger, the jumps higher: pure action for all those who are already confident on a MTB. These tracks are also flowy. Here you can build up plenty of speed for the right adrenaline rush and the right rush of speed.
The natural Enduro Triple
This is where things get a whole lot more technically challenging. Because our three natural enduro lines have it all. Their names in particular have achieved almost cult status in a short space of time: Rocky Waldboa, Forrest Stump & Shreddy Mörphy - each track has its very own character and complements the range of routes in the bike park even further!
Downhill, Blackline and North Shore for all perfectionists
Experienced bikers can be found above all on these routes - they are only for real experts and provide pure thrills. A race is held on the Downhill every year during the iXS Dirt Masters. The North Shore offers exciting descents over various wooden elements and the Black Line is a completely natural trail with many technical passages.
The Green Hill Bikepark in Schmallenberg offers everything a mountain biker's heart desires! A wide selection of routes ensures that both beginners and pros get their money's worth. A total of 11 routes plus numerous variants are available, offering plenty of action and variety with around 200 meters of depth. Mountain bikers use the comfortable easyLOOP T-bar lift for the ascent. The descent leads through picturesque forest landscapes and over varied trails with breathtaking views, jumps, natural paths and plenty of bends.
There are several places to stop for refreshments in between. A rental store, a small bike store and a workshop ensure that everyone is always well equipped and ready to go.
The fascinating SKYWALK Willingen stretches over an impressive 665 m and hovers at a height of 100 m above the breathtaking landscapes of the Upland and Sauerland. As one of the longest suspension bridges in the world and even the longest unsupported suspension bridge in the world, the SKYWALK offers visitors spectacular views. Located directly next to the imposing Mühlenkopf ski jump, the largest large ski jump in the world, it allows visitors not only an impressive view of the surrounding forests, mountains and valleys, but also of the impressive ski jump. The Café Aufwind restaurant provides excellent catering.

Fort Fun Abenteuerland is an amusement park in Bestwig, which can be easily reached by car in just 20 minutes. The park is located in the middle of the beautiful Sauerland landscape and offers a variety of attractions for visitors of all ages. The park is known for its Wild West atmosphere and offers visitors an authentic experience with saloons, cowboys and a western town.
One of the park's main attractions is the Trapper Slider roller coaster, a wooden roller coaster that speeds through the grounds at a top speed of 70km/h.
